 During Monday’s city council meeting, member Joyce Hillman-Kortum made a motion to study moving Gering to a City Manager form of government, like Scottsbluff. Both models, city manager and city administrator, have positives and negatives to them. Still, we think changing Gering’s form of government is a terrible idea. If you don't know who your council members are, simply request a map from the Mayor's office. They are more than accommodating and I'm told the map itself will soon be on the website.
