SCOTTSBLUFF — Brian Ross, 32, a resident of Scottsbluff, has been charged with three felony counts for distributing methamphetamine.
Ross, a former coach for the Twin Cities Express baseball team, allegedly sold the drugs on three separate occasions at his family’s restaurant, Taco Town.

Court documents said a confidential informant working with the WING Drug Task Force made the controlled buys on March 22, March 23 and April 5.

The informant would walk into the restaurant at the front counter, give Ross $100 and ask for a Coca Cola. He would be provided with the soda and a bag containing a gram of the drug.
The informant wore a digital recording device each time and a video recording device on April 5.

Mark Moran, head coach of the Twin Cities Zephyrs, said Ross was head coach for the Twin Cities Express the past four years and also served as pitching coach for the Zephyrs this year. On May 21, the team’s board suspended Ross for 30 days over a shoplifting incident. After the drug charges were filed, Ross was terminated.
Ross has posted bond and will make his first court appearance on June 15.
