Gering Senior Legion pitcher Danny O’Boyle puts everything behind his pitch during a game against Alliance on June 6. The team enjoyed an impressive 14-6 win over Torrington Wednesday but lost steam for the remainder of the week.
Things started out well last Wednesday for the Gering Platte Valley Companies Post 36 Senior Legion baseball team once the Senior 36ers got their bats rolling following a tight start.
After trailing home-standing Torrington after two innings, Gering shut down the hosts and answered with nine straight runs the rest of the way en route to a 14-6 victory.
The PVC 36ers’ winning for the week would stop in Torrington, however. ...
