![]() These past few days of 100-plus degree temperatures and all the discussion around fireworks, (to ban or not to ban) has gotten me to thinking of 4th of Julys back home. Of course there were fireworks, but the Fourth of July was much more than that. It was flag waving, parade watching, homemade ice-cream making, church social, baseball under the lights and a grand finale of rocket’s red glare. My most memorable Independence Day cele...
