 Gering Citizen file photo It’s not the standard relay race – as this one involves two horses, a four-wheeler, a wheelbarrow and four team members. The Rubber Check Race takes place on Wednesday, Aug. 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the grandstand at the Scotts Bluff County Fair in Mitchell. In past years, averages of 13 to 15 teams have entered the event. Reserve tickets for one of the fair’s most popular events have already sold out. However, some tickets will be available at the gate for $10. Read more by Gering Citizen |
