| Soledad Valdez December 24, 1937 – August 8, 2011 Soledad “Sol” Valdez, 73, of Gering went to be with her loving Savior, Monday, Aug. 8, where she spent her last days at her home with her family. Her funeral service was Aug. 13 at Northfield Church with Pastor Troy Allen officiating. Interment was at West Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Northfield Church in Gering. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.geringchapel.com. She was born on Dec. 24, 1937 in Id Hago, Guanajuato, Mexico to Emilio and Maria (Ramirez) Delgado. She married Hipolito Valdez and came to the United States with him. They lived in several states before settling in Nebraska in 1970, where they made their permanent residence. She will be missed and forever loved in our hearts, our souls and our minds. Survivors include her children: Carlos (Sylvia), Polo (Micky), Rudy (Bonnie), Juan, Israel, San Juanita Gonzalez, Iliana Juergen, Melanie (James Sanders); stepchildren: Joe, Tony, Guadalupe (Felix Amendarez); sisters: Maria and Juanita; brothers Richard and Noel; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sons: Emilio, Mike and Miguel; step-sons: Gilbert and Rueben; step-daughter: Bertha; grandson: Tony; granddaughter: Sally; son-in-law: Gene Juergen; and brothers: Tony and Miguel. | |
