Edgar E. “Kelly” Schulz, 82 of Scottsbluff, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009 at Regional West Medical Center. Memorial services were Nov. 13 at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ed Hunzeker officiating. Cremation was held.
Graveside services will be Nov. 20 at 2: 15 p.m. at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver with military honors by the U.S. Army. Memorials may be sent to the funeral home. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com.
Kelly was born August 1, 1927 in Sheboygan County, Wis. to Paul and Olga (Braun) Schulz. After graduating high school in Wisconsin, he worked at various factories in West Bend and Milwaukee, Wis.
He entered the U.S. Army in 1951 and served during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1953. He worked for the city of Waterloo, Iowa for 10 years, moving to Colorado in 1963. He worked for the city of Arvada until retirement in 1988. After retiring, he moved to Scottsbluff.
Kelly was a life member of VFW, life member of Studebaker Drivers Club, Antique Studebaker Club and Moose Lodge #459.
Kelly is survived by his wife of 12 years: Hazel “Marie” (Bigham) Schulz; and many stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 42 years: Ruby Lucille (Thompson) Schulz; infant daughter: Mary; and infant great-great grandson: Chance.
