Gering and Scottsbluff experienced some serious criminal activity early Sunday morning as police responded to a call from a resident of Cottonwood Apartments, south of the Oregon Trail Lounge.
“We found 10 vehicles that has been either damaged or opened and gone through,” said Gering Police Lt. Jason Rogers. “There was a witness who was letting her dog out at the time and called us.”
The suspects left in a white, late model, four-door car. Police are still pursuing leads in the crimes.
In a what some believe may be a related matter, four armed men were captured on surveillance cameras breaking into vehicles in Scottsbluff late Saturday night and early Sunday morning. The men also attempted to break into a house, based on the video camera footage.
On the video, the four men are seen attempting to break into the front door of a Scottsbluff residence and are carrying what appears to be a shotgun.
The video ends with one of the suspects knocking out the camera.
