| Virginia Rosenberry June 12, 1926 – January 25, 2912 Virginia Roseberry, 85 of Gering, claimed her eternal reward Wednesday, Jan, 25, 2012, while being cared for at Heritage Estates. Her unconditional love and compassion for others impacted so many lives over the years. Per Virginia’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial service details will be announced at a later date. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.geringchapel.com. Gering Memorial Chapel and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements. Virginia was born June 12, 1926, in Sanator, S.D. She received her early education in a one-room schoolhouse in Sanator and completed her education at Custer High School. She met her future husband, Howard, in 1943 while co-workers at a mica plant in Custer. Howard and Virginia attended Minnesota Bible College in Minneapolis, Minn. and were married May 28, 1945. She faithfully served alongside her husband, Howard, for more than 65 years of Christian ministry. They served in ministries in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Nebraska, Arizona and Wyoming. Her devotion included countless hours participating in women’s ministry, Vacation Bible School, summer church camp, youth group, Sunday school and inspirational chalk art. Virginia is survived by her loving husband: Howard of 66 years; sister: Kathleen of Janesville, Wis.; children: Lynn (Sandra) Roseberry of Indianapolis, Ind., Mark (Carla) Roseberry of Billings, Mont. and Beth (David) Reynolds of Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandchildren: Mason (Menna), Matthew, Crystal Roseberry and Phillip, Rebekah and Rachel Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her parents: Ernest and Eula Harris; and a sister: Eileen. | |
