| Daniel Irving Johnson April 29, 1936 – February 14, 2012 Daniel Irving Johnson, 75, of Scottsbluff entered into the arms of Jesus Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 at Regional West Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. A private family service was held Feb. 18 and interment will be in LaGrange Cemetery in LaGrange, Wyo. with Pastors Don and Scott Mathis officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First State Bank in Scottsbluff for family needs. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com. Daniel was born in Allegan County, Michigan April 29, 1936 to Earl and Flora (Snyder) Johnson. He married Loretta Sage in Watson Corner, Mich. in 1954 in a little white country church and born to this union were three children. Daniel attended Grand Rapids School of The Bible and Music in Grand Rapids, Mich., where he was a minister, pastor and teen-camp speaker. He traveled to many churches as interim pastor and started seven churches. Daniel was the founder and President of Frontier School of The Bible in LaGrange, Wyo. in 1967. Daniel and wife, Loretta, were hosts of “Hymn Time Country Style” that ministered to the people of this valley for nearly 30 years of radio service, starting at KEYR in Gering in 1983. Later the program moved to KOAQ in Scottsbluff and also KGOS in Torrington, Wyo., where the program was held every Sunday afternoon and then on to KCMI, where the program was held every Sunday morning until Feb. 12, 2012. Daniel was God’s man and God’s minister to the people. Daniel’s family would like to thank Regional West Medical Center and intensive care unit for their loving care for us and our loved one and a Special thanks to Dr. Louis Kleager and wife Carman for their love and support. Daniel is survived by his wife: Loretta; daughter: Kathy (Rod) Schuppan of Morrill; son: Dan Jr. (Cathy) Johnson of Wheatland, Wyo.; and daughter: Jody (Scott) Dill of Martin, Mich.; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. | |
