| Ruby J. Galford September 21, 1915 – March 18, 2012 Ruby J. Galford, 96 of Scottsbluff, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the Western Nebraska Veterans Home. Her graveside service was March 23 at West Lawn Cemetery in Gering. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.geringchapel.com. Ruby was born on Sept. 21, 1915 in Preston, Idaho to Joshua and Kristine (Neilsen) Millington. She received her early education in Smithfield, Utah and graduated from high school in Richmond, Utah. She entered Nursing School at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ruby entered the Army Nurse Corps in September of 1941 and served during WWII and was honorably discharged in April of 1944. On Jan. 20, 1944, she was united in marriage to Keith C. Galford in Gering, where they made their home. She is survived by her son: William H. Galford of Sun City, Ariz.; granddaughters: Elizabeth Guinn and Jennifer Youel, both of Scottsbluff. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Keith; one brother and one sister. | |
