| Joseph F. Arizmendez April 4, 1954 – April 5, 2012 Joseph “Joey” F. Arizmendez, 58, of Scottsbluff, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colo. A funeral mass was held April 10 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Phil Flott officiating. Cremation followed with inurnment on Thursday, April 12 at 3 p.m. at the Mitchell City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are to be made in care of the family at US Bank, The Joseph F. Arizmendez Benefit. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com. Joseph was born April 4, 1954 in Denver, Colo. to Josephina Aguayo and Anastacio Munoz. He was adopted and raised by his grandparents Nicholasa and Elipidio Arizmendez. He graduated from Gering High School in 1972. Joseph married Debra Watson in 1979. Jason, Debra’s son was adopted by Joseph, and was soon joined by siblings; Israel Nathan, Joseph Nicholas, Cody and Jasmine. In September 1997, Joseph met his current wife and partner of 15 years, Brenda Specht. Joseph was an excellent guitar player, singer, wrestling fan and animal lover. He especially loved his four-legged best friends Domino and Ginger whom he loved to walk, run and go swimming with in the canal. Joseph knew no strangers and would help anyone. He will be greatly missed for his witty humor and long talks. Joseph is survived by his wife: Brenda Specht; children: Jason (Tiffany Sabala) Richard and Jasmine Arizmendez (Rosario) Rosas; grandchildren: Joei, Derek, Lola, Gia, and Aaron Sabala, Tiana, Dorian, and Meridian Arizmendez-Rosas; mother: Josephina Aguayo; sisters: Amparo Gomez, Lisa (Humberto) Calihua, and Mary Hinojosa; brother: Frank Munoz; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, sister-in-laws and ex-wife. Preceding Joseph in death were his father: Anastacio Munoz; sons: Cody, Israel and Joseph; brother: Johnny; grandparents: Nicolasa and Elipido Arizmendez, and Lupe and Francisca Vallejo; and numerous family members. | |
