    William Douglas David
    October 31, 1941 – April 28, 2012

William Douglas David passed away early Saturday morning, April 28 after a long batter with cancer at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, in Cheyenne, Wyo.
His memorial service was May 2 at Gering Memorial Chapel with Pastor Lauren Ekdahl officiating.
Interment was at West Lawn Cemetery. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.geringchapel.com.
William was born in Goshen County, Wyoming on Oct. 31, 1941 to Donald Keith David and Iva David (Barrett). He graduated high school in Melbeta.
William was a custom combiner with his Dad, Donald and his brother Donny. While on harvest in North Dakota, he met his future wife, Linda Hutzenbeler. On Dec. 5, 1970, they were married and out of this union they had two sons: Jason and Chris. William and Linda resided in Lyman, Neb. and Torrington, Wyo. until finally making their home in South Heart, N.D.
William was a truck driver at heart, whether it was owning his own trucks or driving for someone else. There was no one with more pride or worked harder than William. William was a very dedicated father to his sons. He would do anything for his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He worked many hours along side each of his sons, teaching them the truck driving business, including his hard work ethic and sense of humor.
William enjoyed his grandchildren to the fullest. He loved all the grandkids and enjoyed spending time watching them grow and change. William was a constant tease to the grandchildren and they enjoyed the times they each were able to spend with him.
William is survived by his wife: Linda David of South Heart, N.D.; his sons: Jason (Alisha) David of Cheyenne, Wyo. and Christopher David (Lynette Woodruff - Special Friend) of Dickinson, N.D.; his mother: Iva David of Melbeta; his grandchildren: Andrew of Belfield, N.D., Kaitlin, Connor, Caden, and Carter of Cheyenne, Wyo., Makayla, Jordan, and Trey of Dickinson, N.D.; brother: Jack (Nancy) David of Boise City, Okla.; and sister: Ellen (Randy) Clark of Arlington, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father: Donald David; his brother: Donald Jr. David; and an uncle: Harold Barrett.
