    Barbara Lynne Hansen
    December 31, 1946 – June 9, 2012

Barbara Lynne Hansen, 65, of Minatare, passed away, on Saturday, June 9, 2012, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
No funeral services will be held, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Barbara c/o Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel, 3201 Avenue B, Scottsbluff, NE 69361. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com
Barbara was born to Mary (Florke) and John Bruce on Dec. 31, 1946, along with her twin sister, Bev. She grew up in Gurley with her five other siblings.
She graduated in 1965 and in 1971, she married Jerry Hansen in Sidney and together they raised their kids. She worked at the Ft. Sidney Motor Hotel and Independent Cable before they moved to New Mexico and Denver, Colo. before settling in Minatare. She was a hard worker who worked for Red Seal Potato Chip Company, Pri-Pac Company, and Flame Restaurant.
Barb, as known to her friends and family, had a big heart and would help anyone with anything. She was a kind, loving, generous person; a daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma.
Barb enjoyed baking, drawing, writing, crocheting blankets, and spending time with her loved ones. She also loved her animals, especially her dog Snoopy. In her own words: “Loved my family with all my heart, cared for them deeply.” She witnessed two miracles, one when her daughter Cauleen, born in 1981, survived after being born with an enlarged heart, and the other miracle in 2007, after the same daughter survived a heart transplant. Barb will be greatly missed by all who knew her and had their lives touched by her.
She is survived by her husband: Jerry Hansen; her daughters: Cauleen Hansen and Tonya Lewman; five grandchildren: Willard (Joni), William, Joseph, Sonya, and Samuel Lewman; one great-grandchild: Willard III; siblings and their families, her twin sister: Beverly (Don) Bremer; her sisters: Bonnie Tallmage and Patricia (Rod) Fisher; and her brothers: Gene and Larry (Donna) Bruce; her aunt and uncle: Donna Mae (Ray) Worster; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and special friends: Lloyd and Kathy Searles, and Glenna Belle Niebaum.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Mary (Florke) and John Bruce; and nephew: Dane Bruce.
