| Robyn L. Rairigh June 8, 1965 – June 19, 2012 Dr. Robyn L. Rairigh, 47, took her last adventure on June 19, 2012. She boarded her last flight on the back of her guardian angel, heaven-bound, to meet her loving Father and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has called her home into His loving arms. A memorial service was held June 25 at First Baptist Church in Cheyenne, Wyo. with Pastors Dale Brown and Mariano Menendez officiating. Interment was in Beth El Cemetery in Cheyenne. A memorial has been established to World Vision Memorial Donation and Community Christian School in Scottsbluff. Robyn supported World Vision for many years and sponsored four children, providing them with food, water, clothing, shelter, and education. Robyn was an advocate for Christian education as well. She was born June 8, 1965, in Cheyenne, Wyo., the daughter of Robert and Sharon Rairigh. She graduated from Central High School in Cheyenne in 1983. She then attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla., receiving her major in chemistry with a minor in microbiology. Robyn graduated medical school from Creighton University in Omaha and worked as a pediatrician at Platte Valley Pediatrics in Scottsbluff from 1996-97. With her strong love of babies, she moved to Denver, Colo. to perform her fellowship at Children’s Hospital from 1997-1999. From 2000-2012, Robyn worked at Presbyterian St. Luke’s in Denver as a neonatologist. Robyn was well educated with a brilliant mind. She cared for and saved many babies’ lives. She was respected and looked up to by the medical community. Practicing medicine was a passion of Robyn’s, as was her adventurous spirit to travel. Robyn saw the world. She traveled to places near and far. She toured North America, South America, Europe, Antarctica, New Zealand, and the Arctic. One of her biggest and exciting adventures was picking up her son, William in Russia, yet again, saving another child’s life. She went fly-fishing, skiing, deep-sea fishing, swimming with polar bears, and riding every rollercoaster ride at Disneyland with her nieces and son. Robyn touched the life of every person she met. She will be missed; however, we will see her again in the Kingdom of God. She is survived by her son: William Rairigh of Gering; grandparents: Harold and Erma Brown of Cheyenne, Wyo.; parents: Robert and Sharon Rairigh of Gering; sister and brother-in-law: Debbie and Roger Bradshaw of Cheyenne; brother and sister-in-law: Troy and Karlie Rairigh of Ogden, Utah; brother and sister-in-law: Jason and Michelle Rairigh of Mitchell; nephews and spouses: Justin and Amy Bradshaw of Aurora, Colo., Josh and Jessica Bradshaw of Albany, N.Y., Jordan and Sara Bradshaw of Ft. Worth, Texas, Jacob and Briahn Bradshaw of Brighton, Colo., Tysen and Ronni Maughan of Ogden, Utah; nieces: Kylie and Kaitlin Rairigh of Ogden, Utah, Lauren and Taylor Rairigh of Mitchell; numerous great nieces and nephews; and dog: Wallace. Her grandparents: Verle and Dorothy Rairigh of Cheyenne; and her beloved dog: Winston preceded Robyn in death. | |
