| Ellsworth H. Clampitt January 20, 1930 – July 22, 2012 Ellsworth H. “Chuck’ Clampitt, 82, of Scottsbluff passed away Saturday, July 22, 2012 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. As per Chuck’s request cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held July 25 at the Federated Church in Mitchell with Doctor Charles Richardson officiating. Memorials can be made in Chuck’s honor to the Federated Church in Mitchell or The 23 Baseball Club. Tributes of sympathy maybe left at www.dugankramer.com. Chuck was born in Oklahoma to Glenn and Rose Clampitt on Jan. 20, 1930. He grew up in California where he started his repair business Redwood Petroleum Maintenance. Chuck enjoyed many activities; pilot, small business owner, church deacon, remote control racing, hobby trains and many years of playing softball, which ended just before his 80th birthday. Chuck never met a stranger and has many friends and family. Chuck is survived by his wife: Von E. “Bonnie” Clampitt; sons: Craig and Neal Clampitt; daughters: Debbie McCathern and Cindy Clampitt; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. | |
