    Vivian Irene Greer, 83, of Scottsbluff, entered into Heaven on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at Regional West Medical Center.
    Her funeral service was Aug. 6 at First United Methodist Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Matt Fowler officiating. Interment followed in the West Lawn Cemetery in Gering.

    Vivian was born July 4, 1929, in Keya Paha Twp, Tripp County, South Dakota, to Clayton and Dessie (Gardner) Brant. She received her early education in small country schools and later attended Chadron State College.
    She married Paul E. Wahe, July 6, 1948 at Wewela, S.D. To this union three children were born. They moved to Hyannis, Neb. and resided there many years. They divorced and she married Eddie M. Greer on Nov. 18, 1967 in Kimball. They lived in Kimball, Sidney, Chadron and Missouri before moving to Scottsbluff in 1979. She was employed with the Office of Human Development as a supervisor before retiring in 1997 after 18 years of employment.
    She was a member of the First United Methodist Church for many years.
    She enjoyed her family and loved being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known for keeping her family supplied with her famous pumpkin bars. She also made and sold many handmade crafts and you could always find her behind the table of “Firecracker Crafts” at many art and craft fairs in the region. She attended a weekly Bible study and was also very fond of playing cards and dominos with friends and neighbors. Vivian enjoyed volunteering at the Evergreen Community Green house and tended a vegetable garden. She also loved to nurture many flowers and vegetables at her home as well.
    She is survived by her children: Karen (Jim) Benzel of Gering, Debbie (Chuck) Wells of Scottsbluff, Tim (Aldoris) Wahe of Gillette, Wyo. and Doug Greer of Westminster, Colo.; grandchildren: Chad (Debi) Watson of Gillette, Wyo., Douglas Benzel of Greeley, Colo., Chynna Watson of Scottsbluff, Renee (Levy) Hansen of Gothenburg, Katelynn Wahe of Gillette, Wyo., Jeremy Greer of Scottsbluff and Corey Greer of Westminster, Colo.; six great-grandchildren; two expectant great-grandchildren; special friend: William King of Scottsbluff,; sister: Opal Houck of Huron, S.D.; brother: Delmer Brant of Raymond, Minn.; brothers in law: Tom Graesser of Dallas S.D., Norven Mayer of Norfolk, Neb.; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, five sisters, four brothers, four brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.
